Compact alloy steering hop-up for Mini-Z AWD

This alloy steering assembly is an aftermarket hop-up for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD platforms supplied as 1set with the steering pin included. It is intended to firm the steering link path and deliver more predictable input at 1:27 scale for improved chassis tuning.

Made from aluminium to limit flex where the steering links attach, the unit outperforms stock plastic assemblies in stiffness while keeping standard servo and chassis mounting unchanged. The included pin secures the pivot and preserves original geometry for drop-in replacement.

How to fit: remove the original steering assembly, move any needed ball links or bearings across, mount the alloy assembly to the existing points, and secure the supplied pin. Use the correct hex bits and perform slow steering checks to confirm there is no interference with servo horns or suspension arms.

Tuning note: the added stiffness reduces component compliance so toe and Ackermann settings are more consistent during high-traction running.

Yes, it is designed as an aftermarket replacement for Mini-Z AWD steering assemblies and fits common MR-03 AWD style mounts, but confirm fit on your chassis first.
In most installs no extra shims are required; if clearance is tight, thin shims can be used to prevent rubbing between horn and arms.
Verify steering sweep for binding, confirm pin retention, and recheck fastener torque after the first few runs to ensure stable operation.
