MR-02 low-profile motor mount

This aluminium motor mount with an attached SSG graphite plate is created for Mini-Z racers using MR-02 patterns who need a low-profile, serviceable motor support. The machined base and thin graphite plate aim to support the motor assembly while minimising added height and mass.

Purpose and compatibility: the part replaces the standard motor mounting interface on MR-02 RM chassis and aligns with MR-015 mount dimensions noted in the original specification. It provides a firmer mounting plane to help preserve gear mesh under hard driving but is not a direct power upgrade.

Fitting guidance: remove the stock mount and move compatible hardware and bearings to the new unit, positioning the SSG graphite plate so motor clearance and pinion engagement mirror prior settings. Confirm gear mesh with the motor fitted and spin the drivetrain by hand to check for any binding. Use the original hex screws and the right driver for final torque; do not over-tighten where graphite contacts are present.

Setup and care: this mount is useful when you adjust motor position for alternative pinion sizes or when fine-tuning chassis flex. Inspect the graphite edges periodically for wear and ensure mounting faces are clean, and verify motor screw tightness after initial runs.
