The JR-OT04 aluminium steering servo saver set is intended for the Kyosho Optima 2016 chassis, handling the steering linkage interface. It replaces the stock saver components with machined aluminium parts that fit into the Optima 2016 steering assembly and serve as the sacrificial connection between the servo and the steering bellcrank.

Installation on the Optima 2016 follows the original saver mounting layout, using standard steering hardware. During fitment check alignment, confirm unobstructed travel through the full steering range, and ensure no interference before tightening fasteners to the recommended torque.

In terms of setup the saver changes the tradeoff between protection and direct steering: increasing preload or stiffer linkage settings sharpens steering precision, while lowering preload or allowing more compliance helps protect the servo from shock loads. Tune incrementally and validate on the track to identify the ideal setting for your driving style.
