This carbon front shock stay is an upgrade item for the KYOSHO Optima 2016 chassis, sold under the reference JR-OT10. It gives a rigid upper mount for the front dampers so you can dial in shock angles and progression with less influence from body or chassis flex.
Use the stay as part of an iterative tuning approach: shifting the upper mounting width or fore/aft position changes handling balance, roll behavior, and how the suspension uses travel. Combine adjustments here with damper valving, spring rates, and anti-roll settings for coherent setup changes aimed at lap time or traction goals.
Fitting requires basic maintenance skills: remove the factory stay, check that the mounting points are true, reinstall using compatible hardware, and align the upper shock eyes before final torque. A set of hex drivers and a torque-aware approach are all that is needed. Verify tightness after several runs to prevent loosening.
