Reinforced Hybrid Carbon Baseplate by Kyosho

The Kyosho OTW142 Hybrid Carbon Chassis brings a reinforced, light platform to the Optima Mid family, aimed at hobbyists who push their rigs hard. Built from a FRP and carbon composite blend, the chassis preserves durability while shedding mass compared with aluminium plates. The result is roughly a 20g reduction in weight and improved absorption of impacts during rough runs.

The FRP and carbon composite improves impact tolerance compared with plain aluminium, absorbing shocks and reducing the chance of immediate failure in typical crashes.
You may notice crisper steering and slightly quicker rotation; a small setup tweak to springs or damping can help regain balance if needed.
Use the same mounting points as the stock plate but verify screw lengths and check clearances for battery and servo fitment during installation.
