Tamiya 95185 Jr Torque-Tuned PRO Motor Details for Japan Cup 2026

Marked as a Jr Torque-Tuned 2 Motor PRO unit with Japan Cup 2026 livery, this motor is intended for use in Mini 4WD PRO chassis that accept dual motors. Metal brushes are used to improve electrical contact and maintain current under load, which helps produce lively acceleration through technical sections.

The cosmetic scheme includes a gold and black label and an orange end bell. Compatibility is limited to Mini 4WD PRO cars; correct pinion gear engagement and adequate space for a dual-motor arrangement are required. Pinion gears and additional mounting hardware are not supplied.

Drive system: Mini 4WD PRO dual-motor drivetrain
Motor type: Torque-tuned 2-motor PRO spare motor
Input voltage: 2.4-3.0 V
Torque at recommended load: 1.7-2.1 mN-m
RPM: 12,200-14,400 rpm
Current consumption: 1.7-2.0 A
Compatibility: Mini 4WD PRO cars only
Pinion gear: Use with 8T pinion gear (sold separately)

For skilled model builders and restorers of PRO-series Mini 4WD, this labelled torque-tuned motor reproduces the expected on-track behaviour for technical courses. Always confirm chassis clearance and choose the appropriate pinion before installation.

Metal brushes are durable but should be checked regularly during heavy use. Monitor for wear or debris that can affect contact and replace brushes when performance degrades.
Using the recommended 8T pinion affects gear ratio and torque delivery. Ensure the pinion meshes correctly with your chassis spur and that the dual-motor layout has adequate clearance.
Routine inspection and cleaning of the commutator and brushes after extended running sessions will prolong motor life and maintain consistent performance.
The orange end bell is a cosmetic element applied for this Japan Cup 2026 release. Replacement parts are not guaranteed to be included with the motor and should be sourced separately if offered.
The motor is built to PRO-series specifications. For competition, check event rules before making any modifications or assuming eligibility.
