Mini-Z MB-010: Short setting springs

The Kyosho MBW012S Setting Spring Set (Short) is a short spring kit built for Mini-Z MB-010 style shocks, supplied with multiple colour-coded rates to allow suspension fine-tuning without changing shock bodies.

These springs use the standard Mini-Z short profile and present a spectrum of stiffness by colour: Purple (super soft), Green (soft), Silver (medium), Gold (hard). The set often ships with the super soft option already fitted.

Fitting is direct: remove the shock cap and spring retainer, fit the selected short spring onto the shock shaft, and put the retainer and cap back. Short springs will alter static ride height and preload compared with full-length springs, so re-evaluate rebound and droop after swapping springs.

For tuning, choose softer colours to increase traction on low-grip tracks and firmer colours to reduce roll on faster sections. Make measured, single-step changes and test on identical surface conditions to observe handling differences.

MBW012S is an OEM Kyosho spare intended for Mini-Z suspension tuning and maintenance and should be used as a model-only component.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed for Mini-Z MB-010 style short shocks and will fit similar Mini-Z shock assemblies that use the same short spring profile.
Yes. The MBW012S is supplied as a setting spring set including multiple colour-coded short springs for tuning.
No specialised tools are required beyond basic shock disassembly items; carefully remove the cap and retainer, then slide the spring on and reassemble.
No modification is normally required for MB-010 style shocks that accept Mini-Z short springs. Check fitment before full reassembly.
Yes. Because short springs affect ride height and preload, retune droop and rebound settings after swapping springs to restore desired handling.
