Mount role and compatibility overview

The Kyosho LA426 Motor Mount Set is an RC-scale motor mounting part engineered for the LAZER ZX7.5 chassis. It positions the motor on the chassis and defines the pinion-to-spur relationship without altering other drivetrain components.

Primary purpose: ensure consistent motor alignment, allow repeatable gear mesh tuning, and provide a stable base for maintenance. The emphasis is on fit and function rather than claims about construction materials.

Installation and setup notes

  • Take out the old mount and inspect clearance around the motor endbell before fitting the LA426.
  • Set the motor so the pinion engages the spur with minimal side play, and fasten mounting screws evenly to avoid twisting the motor plate.
  • Use proper torque on the hex screws to avoid thread damage and verify gear mesh after a short run-in.
  • Check motor lead and ESC routing to keep them clear of the mount and to preserve cooling paths.

The LA426 is intended for routine chassis maintenance and tuning tasks; even small changes to motor setback or tilt affect gear wear and noise. Make incremental changes and bench-test before full-speed use.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check the product listing for included items; if screws are not provided, reuse the OEM fasteners that match the mount holes and thread size to ensure correct fit.
Tighten mounting screws in a cross pattern and incrementally to keep the plate flat. Over-tightening one side first can distort the mount and misalign the gear mesh.
Proper gear mesh and correct motor setback reduce noise; use the mount to fine tune engagement and confirm results with short bench runs before extended driving.
