Brace Fitment and Function

The Kyosho IF618B Chassis Brace Set is a reinforcement component built to work with MP10 chassis layouts. It stiffens the centre section so drivers can change flex characteristics without modifying primary suspension items.

Fitment applies to the MP10 chassis family only—verify that your MP10 or MP10T layout uses the same mounting points before installation. The brace attaches at factory locations and typically does not require chassis modification for standard configurations.

Installation steps are simple: remove the body shell and any top plate, align the brace to the existing holes, then secure using the stock chassis fasteners. Tighten incrementally and check for drivetrain or suspension interference after the first outing. Reinspect fasteners after initial running.

Use the brace as a tuning tool to reduce chassis twist and change weight transfer behaviour. It can stabilise turn-in and boost rear traction on high-grip tracks; leaving it off will maintain more steering and compliance on looser surfaces.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Expect a firmer, more predictable turn-in with reduced chassis flex; this can make the car feel more stable at the limit on high-grip surfaces.
You may need to tweak roll bars, shock tune or camber to fully exploit the altered flex; treat the brace as part of an overall setup change rather than an isolated swap.
Yes. The brace can be removed to return to the original flex profile for low-traction or bumpy circuits where more compliance is preferred.
Perform short, focused runs to evaluate turn-in and rear traction, then adjust damping or anti-roll balance in small steps to dial in handling.
