Durable CNC 7075 T6 short-body shocks

The XRAY 338002-K aluminium shock absorber set includes two 20.8mm short-body shocks built for NT1 series 1/10 on-road RC chassis. The design pairs shorter bodies and shafts to reduce unwanted suspension movement and provide steadier travel under load, helping to keep the car stable through cornering transitions.

Pistons are supplied in 2-hole and 3-hole patterns and in three bore diameters: 1.0mm, 1.1mm and 1.2mm, so you can tune flow and damping without changing major parts. Pistons are moulded from white Delrin to preserve geometry and stiffness for reliable damping over many runs.

Shock barrels are machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and surface hardened to resist wear. External fine threads give precise ride-height and preload control, while compact membranes ensure smooth, reproducible damping across different track surfaces.

Specifications

  • Item Aluminium shock absorber set, short-body, 20.8mm, 2 pcs
  • Material Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium bodies, Delrin pistons
  • Model Number 338002-K

If you need robust short-travel shocks, this set offers hardened aluminium bodies and precise adjustability; pair piston choice with oil to tailor mid-corner and exit control.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Inspect the inner shaft for nicks and the body threading for burrs. Clean and lightly lubricate the shaft each service interval to prevent scoring that can affect seals and membranes.
Service shocks after several race days: replace oil, check pistons for ovality, inspect membranes, and re-hardened surfaces will extend life but regular upkeep is still needed.
Swiss 7075 T6 with surface hardening resists wear and corrosion better than untreated alloys, but avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and clean parts after wet running.
Membranes are replaceable; keep spares and inspect them for cracking or deformation to maintain consistent damping performance.
Surface hardening improves wear life without changing normal maintenance routines; you can still disassemble, service pistons and change oil as usual.
