Off-Road Powerplant for 1/8 Scale

The O.S. Engine OSMG2068 21VZ-B V-Spec-T (P) is built for aggressive off-road tracks and heavy use. Its design targets drivers who need dependable revs and sensible service intervals.

Sturdy Cylinder and Piston Assembly

A hardened, chrome-plated 4-port cylinder and liner resist wear, while the machined steel piston with parallel rings keeps compression steady. The reshaped crankcase core helps the engine breathe cleaner and respond more linearly to throttle inputs.

Adjustable Carburetion and Head Cooling

The slide valve carb supports 8mm and 9mm restrictors so you can match response to your local track. The two-piece V style turbo head sheds heat quickly, helping to avoid power loss through overheating.

Included Items for Immediate Use

The kit ships with a P3 Ultra Hot Turbo glow plug, assorted gaskets, restrictors and covers so you can mount and run with common spare parts already supplied.

Specifications

  • Practical RPM: 3000-40,000
  • Output: 2.48 bhp @ 33,000 RPM
  • Bore: 0.654 in
  • Stroke: 0.630 in
  • Weight without Muffler: 12.7 oz (360g)
  • Height from Crankcase Bottom to Top of Cylinder Head: 110.6mm (4.4")
  • Width Including Mounting Ears: 45mm (1.8")

This engine is a solid choice for off-road enthusiasts who want tunable performance and serviceable components in 1/8 scale racing.

Basic hand tools are enough for mounting, but use a torque driver for secure flange bolts and check alignment with the clutch bell and driveshafts.
Use the V-shaped turbo head as intended, lean the mixture conservatively, and monitor head temperature between runs to avoid overheating on hot days.
Bring extra glow plugs, a selection of gaskets, carb restrictors and a spare muffler mount. Those items cover the most likely service needs after hard running.
