The HUDY 102593 sanding drum is an RC accessory intended to deliver a fine finish when used with a tyre truer. Its P240 ultra-fine abrasive targets small burrs and subtle tread irregularities to help tyres achieve more consistent contact patches.

Fitting is straightforward: mount the drum on the truer's mandrel or a compatible sanding shaft, clamp it firmly in the chuck and confirm it runs concentric. Operate at low speed with light, even pressure and check the tyre often to prevent over-trimming. The item is supplied as one sanding drum for hobby truer setups.

For setup and tuning, make the P240 pass the last stage after coarser grits to hone the tread profile and remove minor flaws that influence tyre feel and lap stability. It is intended for model RC tyre care and not for non-hobby uses.
