Italeri 96460 Pak 97/38 1/35 - overview for hobby modellers

This 1/35 scale injection-moulded model recreates the Pak 97/38 towed anti-tank gun and ships with crew figures, added to Italeri's military range for display and vignette modelling projects.

Developed as an expedient German response using captured French 75 mm mle 1897 barrels on modified mounting from around 1941, the Pak 97/38 used a muzzle brake and revised carriage fittings to operate with more powerful anti-armor ammunition. It was deployed where mobility and lighter artillery were necessary.

The kit focuses on external authenticity with period fittings; parts are supplied for standard assembly with separate components for barrel, shield, carriage and crew. The figures capture common crew activities such as loading and aiming. Finishing with paint and optional aftermarket upgrades will lift the model's realism at 1/35 scale.

The kit is aimed at hobby modellers with basic to intermediate experience in plastic assembly and painting due to small parts and fitting requirements.
Yes, the scale and included crew make it straightforward to integrate into larger battlefield scenes or mixed vehicle dioramas.
Use thin paint layers, fine brushes or an airbrush, and consider a light primer coat to retain crisp moulded detail before final paintwork.
