Service kit for X shock rebuilds on R12/GT

This replacement kit provides the service parts required for the X shock assemblies fitted to Yokomo R12 and GT series 1/10 touring models. It is supplied as a maintenance accessory to support routine repairs and keep shock performance consistent during driving sessions.

Best practice after extended running is to remove the shock, take apart the X shock assembly, swap in the new service items from the kit, then reassemble and test for smooth shaft travel and uniform damping. This item is an RC accessory for maintenance use only.

Well-serviced dampers help deliver consistent feedback between runs, making baseline setups and fine tuning of spring and damper choices more dependable.

Replacing worn internal shock parts reduces variability in damping, so changes to spring rate or damper adjusters produce more predictable results when tuning your Yokomo R12 or GT chassis.
Yes. The service parts are intended to restore shock reliability after regular track running, helping maintain consistent handling during practice and race events.
Basic shock tools and a clean workspace are sufficient: shock pliers, hex drivers, and a way to hold small parts while you disassemble and reassemble the X shock unit.
