Machined Aluminum Steering Block

This machined aluminum front steering block is offered as an upgrade for Yokomo RD/SD/MD drift chassis, intended to replace the standard resin axle assembly with a more rigid metal alternative. The design splits the axle section, steering block and upper holder into separate components so you can mount the aluminium pieces directly and gain tighter control over alignment during setup.

Fine adjustment uses the supplied shims to change trail and kingpin angle, enabling precise steering geometry tweaks without needing custom parts. The improved stiffness over resin boosts steering response and front tyre tracing, which helps when running on high-grip surfaces like P tiles and coloured concrete where small alignment differences are noticeable.

Fitting is fairly simple for those who have serviced front ends on drift chassis before: dismantle the stock axle parts, install the aluminium assembly, and try different shim stacks until you obtain the desired trail and kingpin angles.
