Performance-oriented rear case for YZ-4

Engineered as a replacement rear transmission case for the YZ-4 4WD off-road chassis, this housing is molded from a graphite-containing resin to offer higher rigidity than many stock plastic housings while remaining appropriate for hobby-grade machines.

The design splits into left and right sealed halves to limit the ingress of dust and small stones, helping preserve spur and pinion engagement and extend the operational life of running gear. The split layout also simplifies routine inspection and servicing when the case is removed.

From a tuning perspective the part plays two roles: protecting drivetrain components during off-road use and slightly stiffening the rear assembly compared with softer housings, which can be used to fine-tune rear-end response on YZ-4 setups.

Compatibility

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Because the housing is stiffer than many plastic alternatives, it can reduce chassis-related drivetrain flex at the rear. That change is subtle but can improve precision in rear response and make setup adjustments more predictable.
Graphite-filled resin increases rigidity and impact resistance in many cases, but like all materials it has limits. Proper installation and avoiding extreme impacts will help maintain durability.
Yes. The sealed two-piece construction protects internals in use yet can be separated with standard hobby tools for inspection, cleaning, and routine servicing.
