Technical notes for the YD-4 main shaft

Supplied as the standard main gear shaft from the YD-4 parts set, this item replaces worn or damaged shafts and is intended for DP-YD4 and DP-YD4MR chassis. It restores the mounting point that locates the spur gear within the gearbox.

The shaft ensures correct positioning of the spur gear and operates with the existing gear stack and bearings. After fitting, verify the mesh and bearing seating to preserve accurate drivetrain alignment and minimise endplay.

Fitting is a straightforward replacement using the established gearbox fixing points. Replace any adjacent worn components at the same time and run the model slowly after refit to check for smooth engagement before performance runs.
