Italeri 1/72 Hawker Harrier GR.I - compact VTOL model

The Harrier GR.I is notable for its vertical/short takeoff and landing capability, a breakthrough developed by Hawker Siddeley during the 1960s. Its single Pegasus engine and four vectored nozzles give the aircraft hover control and excellent short-field performance.

This kit celebrates the Harrier GR.I's role in the Daily Mail Trans-Atlantic Air Race of May 1969, a memorable point-to-point flight from the Post Office Tower in London to the Empire State Building in New York that underscored the type's versatility.
