The TRU048SC alloy steering assembly is a service and upgrade component for the TAMIYA Scania R620 tractor truck. It replaces the original plastic steering parts with an alloy unit to increase durability and maintain geometry under load.
Fitment requires checking servo compatibility, horn position and linkage lengths before operation. Confirm mounting holes and fastener torque, and ensure the steering components clear the chassis and wheel assemblies through full travel.
When used as an upgrade, the alloy part improves repeatability and resistance to wear during service runs or display use. Installation generally follows removal of the stock steering unit and transfer of linkages and suitable hardware, with thread-lock applied on key metal joints.
