This front upper deck is an aftermarket component for the Schumacher FT9, manufactured by Factory Pro and numbered O-SCP034. The Graphite 2.0 front section replaces the FT9 topdeck front to let you dial front-end stiffness and steering response during setup sessions.
When tuning, the front topdeck alters torsional stiffness ahead of the centreline which changes steering bite and how the car settles over rough surfaces. Use it as part of incremental setup changes and test on the track to confirm handling improvements.
Fitting on a standard FT9 is straightforward. Remove the screws that secure the front section of the topdeck, lift the old piece away, align the new part so mounting holes match the chassis posts and refit the original fasteners. Double-check servo and steering linkage clearance before final tightening. Use the correct Allen key and apply gentle, even torque to avoid damaging the graphite.
Upkeep tips: inspect the mounting holes and mating faces for cracks after hard landings, keep contact areas free of debris, and re-check screw torque after the first few runs. Handle this aftermarket graphite part carefully and avoid overtightening.
