Designed as a simple mechanical insert, this blade spacer sits between blade and hub parts to maintain a precise 4mm gap required by many SDX, SCEADU and SZ-5 rotor head arrangements. It is intended to provide repeatable spacing that supports blade pitch and balance procedures.
Installation follows conventional rotor head servicing: remove the blade fasteners, fit the spacer onto the blade root or shaft location dictated by your head design, then reassemble and torque to spec. Clean contact faces and correct thread engagement help protect alignment and reduce runout issues.
During setup, the spacer helps keep both blades matched in geometry, aiding predictable pitch response and lowering the chance of uneven vibration. Always confirm blade tracking and rotor balance after installation and make minute pitch trims with blade grips or the swashlink as necessary.
