The Serpent SRX8GT R refines the GT '23 blueprint with focused upgrades aimed at improving lap times. Thanks to development work by Andrea and Roberto Catanzani the car receives targeted changes in geometry, transmission efficiency and adjustability to suit serious circuit use.
The in-line drivetrain increases transmission efficiency and necessitated a new chassis layout. The standard 4mm composite chassis provides controlled flex without side dams, while an optional 3mm plate offers a different flex profile for teams chasing a specific feel.
Suspension geometry has been revised to a narrower track with modified roll centre characteristics to aid rotation and mid-corner stability. New brackets give a wider tuning window for settings such as inboard toe and anti-squat adjustments.
The 2-speed shaft system accepts weighted shoe configurations to refine shift behaviour and includes new clips to reduce the chance of gearbox lock-up. Bulkheads are built from carbon-filled ultra-stiff composite with aluminium options available for varying stiffness preferences.
The Serpent SRX8GT R is aimed at circuit-focused drivers who want a tunable platform with efficient power transfer. Its configurable parts make it well suited to competitive GT racing.
