Built for Serpent 1/18 cars like the 966 and 977, the Serpent 903601 aluminium CVD driveshaft set is a focused weight-saving upgrade. Made from hard-anodized 7075-T6 aluminium and laser-marked with length and the Serpent logo, these shafts combine neat looks with consistent sizing.
These aluminium shafts weigh roughly 50% less than equivalent spring-steel parts, cutting rotating mass to improve both pull-off acceleration and braking feel. The front shafts weigh about 7.15 grams and the rears about 7.80 grams, which helps fine-tune handling for short race formats.
While the weight savings are clear, aluminium is not as tough as spring steel, so these driveshafts are best reserved for qualifying or short heats. For long mains or heavy-impact tracks, fit spring-steel driveshafts to preserve parts life.
