Spring cup for SLF short shocks (fits BD7-2014)

This is a replacement spring cup designed specifically for SLF short-shock assemblies and listed as compatible with BD7-2014 dampers. The cup secures the spring within short-stroke shock bodies and enables precise setting of spring seating height and preload without any shaft or retainer modification.

Installation follows standard shock servicing: disassemble, remove the spring and old cup, locate the new cup on the shaft or lower assembly according to your SLF short-shock layout, then rebuild and confirm smooth travel. Retain the original seals and spacers to keep damper oil sealed and stroke behavior unchanged.

In practical terms, fitting a different spring cup changes spring seat and preload span rather than piston flow. Small changes to seating position affect initial spring engagement, chassis balance and transient feel. Check for side play after fitting and remeasure preload and travel once reassembled.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Use on SLF short-shock layouts that align with BD7-2014 damper dimensions. It is intended where the shorter shock travel and mounting positions match the SLF short-shock design.
The cup is passive hardware; durability depends on material and installation. Proper assembly using original seals and spacers maintains expected service life. Inspect for wear during routine maintenance.
Ensure springs are aligned, spacers and seals are correctly seated, and verify no lateral play before sealing the shock. Do a slow travel check after assembly.
