Service and tuning role of the bottom cap

The Serpent SER601356 bottom cap fits the Serpent SRX8 Gen4 GP (SER600024) shock assembly and is intended to simplify maintenance during tuning sessions. While the cap itself does not change damping profiles, it preserves seal integrity and makes oil changes and internal adjustments faster and more repeatable.

To install, remove the shock from the car, manage the oil as needed, and replace the bottom cap while keeping shims and o-rings intact. Rebuild the shock, check fill level and seals, then refit to the chassis. This spare is for hobby use on 1/10 touring car platforms and should be fitted on a clean workbench.

In a tuning workflow the bottom cap matters most for repeatable service and sealing; use it when worn caps create inconsistent oil retention or complicate damper rebuilds.
