Propeller shaft is the best alternative to the Tamiya ones which are extremely hard to find. Fits the TA-02 gearbox perfectly but you need to cut off the shaft guide molded to the stock upper deck of the 01/02 chassis to ensure smooth operation.
A stiffer aluminium shaft reduces driveline compliance, yielding more predictable power transfer and a firmer feel under acceleration. It does not change suspension geometry, but it can alter the perceived throttle response.
Inspect the joint and bearing surfaces periodically and clean after running. Applying a light lubricant to moving interfaces can extend service life and keep the assembly running smoothly.
After installation verify clearance through full suspension travel, confirm smooth rotation, and ensure the gearbox engagement remains correct. Misalignment can cause noise and premature wear.
