Front Fork Detail-Up Pack for 1/12 KONICA MINOLTA Honda RC211V '06 (Tamiya 12618)

This set supplies precision metal and plastic replacements to refine the front fork and associated suspension components on 1/12 Konica Minolta Honda RC211V '06 motorcycle kits. It is intended to improve visible mechanical detail and surface finish around the fork and clutch regions.

The Honda RC211V was Honda's leading grand prix prototype in the early 2000s, with ongoing refinement of chassis and suspension geometry to cope with rising power and tyre development. Reproducing correct fork appearance is important for authentic scale modelling of machines from that period.

Parts included add a more mechanical look than painted kit parts alone: finished axle block, anodized aluminium clutch cover, nickel-plated clutch bolt, black anodized aluminium inner and outer forks, nickel-plated fork top, grey spring, and small attaching rivets. Supply is intended to either replace or supplement stock items for improved visual realism.

Specifications

  • Scale: 1/12
  • Assembly: Detail-up parts set for 1/12 motorcycle model kits
  • Materials: Anodized aluminium, nickel-plated metal parts, and plastic parts
  • Includes: finished axle block, anodized aluminium clutch cover, nickel-plated clutch bolt, black anodized aluminium inner and outer forks, nickel-plated fork top, grey spring, attaching rivets

A compact selection of finished metal and plastic components aimed at builders who want a stronger mechanical look and finer surface fidelity around the front fork and clutch area of 1/12 RC211V '06 replicas.

These parts are cosmetic and replace external fork and clutch components; they do not change internal damping or spring rates. For display models, handling is unaffected, but always verify clearance with other moving parts if you plan functional suspension testing.
Black anodised aluminium offers good durability for display builds; handle with care during fitting to avoid scratching and use soft jaws or cloth when holding small parts with pliers.
Mixing with other aftermarket items is possible, but measure for clearance and alignment first. Since inner and outer fork dimensions are altered, some combinations may require light trimming or repositioning.
Small attaching rivets are included, but builders should have modelling adhesives and basic spare fasteners available for secure and lasting assembly.
Metal and plated parts provide a level of surface finish, sheen, and edge definition that is difficult to replicate with paint alone, improving perceived realism in close-up displays and photography.
