Introduced at Earls Court in 1981, the Honda CB1100R combined street legality with race-influenced design, notable for its red frame and gold wheels. The production bike used a 1,062cc air-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC engine producing about 115hp and could hit close to 220km/h in contemporary tests.
The Tamiya 14008 model kit recreates the CB1100R in 1/12 scale with finely moulded parts that reflect the original machine's engine, cowling and suspension. The kit includes steerable front steering, rubber tyres bearing realistic treads and waterslide decals for accurate markings.
