Presented as a 1/12 scale plastic assembly kit, this set reproduces the Antena 3 Yamaha YZR500 Team D'Antin from 2002 for use as a display model or detailed build project.
The YZR500 lineage covers Yamaha two-stroke 500cc Grand Prix machines developed for premier road racing. During 2002 the field included new 4-stroke 990cc competitors alongside traditional two-stroke bikes; Yamaha kept racing the compact V4 two-stroke YZR500 with its distinctive full cowlings and twin exhausts. Norifumi Abe rode the Antena 3 Yamaha d'Antin entry that year, using its light weight and nimble handling to compete with larger four-stroke bikes.
The kit models the race bodywork, the rear exhaust arrangement and the basic engine outline of the YZR500. Major panels such as the seat and a number of cowlings are removable to allow painting and detailing. Decals supply the race numbers noted in the original release. Assembly uses standard plastic modelling practices and supports painting and weathering to match reference images.
A straightforward external reproduction focused on race appearance and livery, suitable for hobbyists who prioritise display accuracy and finish work.
