This 1/12 scale plastic model kit recreates the 2004 Yamaha YZR-M1 race motorcycle as a detailed assembly kit intended for accurate modelling and display.
Designed around a compact inline four-cylinder engine and refined chassis geometry, the YZR-M1 was Yamaha's four-stroke contender during the early 2000s. The 2004 iteration was adapted for the larger capacity formula and campaigned by factory riders through that season. The kit captures the aerodynamic, slim-lined bodywork representative of the period.
The kit's components reproduce the engine layout, exhaust routing, ram air intake and suspension at scale. An alternate seat cowling is included to represent two rider layouts, while synthetic rubber tyres emulate slick surfaces. Poly caps are used in the suspension and for cowl attachments, and a number of body panels can be detached after assembly to access the engine bay and drive components for display purposes.
Included decals represent the two rider numbers specified, and the moulded cowl mirrors the compact, streamlined profile of the 2004 machines. Assembly requires painting and basic modelling tools; finishing technique will determine display quality.
A highly detailed 1/12 kit aimed at hobbyists who value precise assembly and realistic presentation, with removable panels and accurate tyres for display use.
