This 1/12 scale Tamiya kit reproduces the Ducati Desmosedici with focus on authentic engineering cues. The model highlights the 16-valve V4 engine and shows the truss-frame styling, while the swing arm detail reflects its attachment to the crankcase. The included rubber tyres are shaped to mirror racing slicks.
Introduced in the 2003 MotoGP campaign, the Desmosedici was campaigned by Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss, with further developments in 2004 that featured at tracks such as Suzuka and Catalunya. The kit includes parts and Cartograf decals so builders can finish the bike in either rider's colours.
Internal routing for throttle, clutch and brake lines is represented using plastic tubing for realistic detail. Removable side panels and seat cowling let you expose the finely modelled engine for display. Note that white sponsor decals are not supplied, but the model still closely follows the original design.
