This 1/12 scale assembly model kit reproduces the 2005 Yamaha YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-coloring edition, crafted to represent the race livery and visible chassis elements from that year.
The YZR-M1 functioned as Yamaha's primary four-stroke racing motorcycle in the mid-2000s, evolving through continual development for grand prix competition. The U.S. Inter-coloring livery stems from Yamaha International Corporation branding and featured on a special-edition YZR-M1 at the 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.
The kit recreates the appearance of the 2005 YZR-M1 and a selection of mechanical details. Three new molds form the in-line four-cylinder engine, main frame, and rear shock unit, along with the model-specific cowling shapes. Side and seat cowling panels can be detached after assembly to show internal mechanics. The tyres are realistic synthetic rubber marked with Michelin logos. Included are vibrant decals replicating the yellow and black inter-coloring markings and vinyl tubing for brake and throttle hoses. Markings provided represent bike No.5 ridden by Colin Edwards in the U.S. edition.
An accurate display-oriented kit of the 2005 YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-coloring edition, supplying specific molds and decals for collectors and model builders aiming for visual fidelity.
