1/6 Scale Replica of the Kawasaki Z1300 Powerplant

Introduced in 1979, the Kawasaki Z1300 used a 1,286cc liquid-cooled inline-6 DOHC engine known for its smooth performance and roughly 120hp output, with a top speed near 220 km/h and a 0-400m time close to 12 seconds. Tamiya 16023 captures the core engineering of this landmark engine in an oversized scale for clear examination.

Kit Details and Finish

The kit reproduces the Z1300 engine and includes realistic parts such as the radiator, air cleaner and drive shaft, along with the cylinder head cover and triple carburetors. Components are moulded in black plastic and complemented by chrome and matte plated parts, plus a mesh stone guard and a synthetic rubber shaft boot for added authenticity. The model is intended for static display and attaches to the supplied stand with a specification sticker.

Really pleased with models ,and even more pleased with the efficient delivery (4 days) EXCELLENT THANK YOU.
Yes, selected components are supplied with chrome and matte plated finishes to replicate metal surfaces, improving the overall appearance of the assembled engine.
Standard modelling adhesives and acrylic or enamel paints are commonly used to complete and weather the model. Preparing parts and using fine brushes or an airbrush will help achieve a neat finish.
The completed engine is designed to be displayed on the included stand which holds the assembly securely and shows the specification sticker for reference.
