Introducing the Tamiya 18073 JR Dash-0 Horizon Premium on Super II

The Tamiya 18073 JR Dash-0 Horizon Premium updates a classic Mini 4WD body with the Super II chassis to add toughness and tuning flexibility. Its snap-fit assembly keeps the build approachable while preserving authentic styling from the original release.

Build platform and aesthetics

The Super II chassis in dark green ABS provides a robust base suited to modifications and stable handling. The clean white Horizon body makes painting and decal placement straightforward, with metallic green A parts offering an attractive accent for display models.

Tyres, rollers and gearing

Fitted with large white six-spoke wheels and black slick tyres, the model handles well on a variety of Mini 4WD tracks. The metallic green 13mm rollers aid smooth cornering and the Type 130 motor paired with a 4.2:1 gear ratio makes the kit race-ready with modest tuning.

  • Scale: 1/32
  • Length: 150mm
  • Material: ABS Plastic
  • Motor: Type 130
  • Gear Ratio: 4.2:1
Small pliers, a hobby knife for trimming sprues, and fine files for edge clean-up will speed assembly and improve fit quality.
The Super II layout accepts many common tune-up gears and motor choices, allowing you to tailor acceleration and top speed for your track.
Installing low-friction rollers, adjusting tyre pressure, and ensuring proper weight distribution will all help the car stay on line through bends.
Painting the body before final assembly makes masking easier and prevents paint from contaminating coupling points; test-fit parts first to plan paint coverage.
