The Jr Tyxiv is a compact body concept produced with an external design partner and delivered as a 1/32 Mini 4WD assembly kit on the ME chassis. The low, aerodynamic shell is offered with either a tinted canopy or a removable open-top cockpit; removing the canopy allows for a driver figure or an open-top presentation. Switchable front and rear fender sections let you run the standard small-diameter tyres or install separately sold large-diameter tyres after swapping parts.
The ME chassis was developed as a "Midship Evolution" concept and retains the double-shaft motor arrangement seen in earlier Tamiya double-shaft designs. It uses an ABS-molded construction aimed at a balance of rigidity and controlled flex while keeping weight modest. Bumpers are separate molded components and the kit assembles using standard Mini 4WD techniques; low-friction 620 POM plastic bearings are fitted where called for to improve rolling efficiency.
Cosmetic parts include fluorescent green and transparent smoke pieces, silver 5-spoke wheels fitted with the kit small-diameter super hard low-profile tyres, and dedicated decal sheets. The kit contains a double-shaft motor and a 3.5:1 gear ratio drivetrain. Two AA batteries are required but are sold separately.
