Famous for its unusual six-wheel approach, the Tyrrell P34 is an iconic bit of F1 engineering. Tamiya's 1/20 kit captures the car's distinctive profile and race-day details as seen at the 1977 Monaco Grand Prix. The model reproduces the P34's unique stance and period-correct components.
Devised in the 1970s, the P34 used four small front wheels to try and improve front-end grip and airflow. The 1977 season saw the team in blue and white colours backed by First National City Bank. Drivers such as Patrick Depailler and Ronnie Peterson campaigned the car despite tyre development challenges.
This Tamiya kit includes a detailed Ford Cosworth DFV unit, a realistic gearbox, and accurate wheel assemblies. A driver figure is provided for static display, and decals cover both Depailler and Peterson liveries for historical accuracy.
