That is a factory finished type of the Honda NSR500 '84 No.3 bike. Tamiya Factory Finished models are hand built and painted by Tamiya's expert in-house craftsmen. Throughout the 1983 World Grand Prix period, Honda took the championship with all the NS500 but it was clear that the power from the 2-stroke V3 engine would be inadequate for the following season. This led Honda to produce the NSR500, which was powered by an even more powerful V4 engine. In addition showcased a distinctive aluminum frame to accommodate the motor and a radical design in which the expansion chambers and the gas tank had been placed above and underneath the motor respectively. The 1984 period was challenging but the after period saw the NSR500 show its excellent performance to win the championship
