The Tamiya 21149 kit recreates the 1981 Honda RS1000 with strong attention to visual and mechanical detail. The model includes sculpted bodywork and well defined drivetrain parts to reflect the original race bike.
The RS1000 was developed after the RCB1000 and used an air cooled 4-stroke DOHC 4-cylinder engine rated at 130hp. The kit aims to capture the spirit of its endurance racing achievements through accurate styling and engine presentation.
This edition upgrades the fuel tank contour, alters headlight placement and adds extra cabling for realism. Careful engine and exhaust paint plus metallic front fork decals deliver a convincing finish suited to display shelves.
