The Honda RS1000 was a standout in endurance racing thanks to its solid engineering and race-proven design. The Tamiya 21150 completed model captures the 1981 specifications at 1/12 scale, including the air-cooled 4-stroke DOHC engine derived from the CB900F. The model echoes the bike's racing pedigree, including its season second-place finish and the Suzuka 8 Hour victory.
Beyond the standard kit, this finished model brings extra realism with an improved cowl screen, mesh-styled exhaust pipes to suggest braided hoses, and added fittings such as breather pipes and front brake cabling. Engine surfaces show detailed paintwork, drive sprockets and chain are accurately modelled, and the exhaust has graduated tones. Metallic decals on the front fork enhance the authentic appearance for display purposes.
