This finished 1/12 scale plastic model is released within Tamiya's Masterwork Collection and is supplied display-ready, requiring no assembly.
The production Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, introduced in 2019, blends road legality with strong circuit-derived design. It incorporates developments from Honda's racing programs, including a high-output, liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine and aerodynamic bodywork featuring internal winglets on the side fairings. The SP variant emphasises upgraded suspension and electronic systems to aid track-capable handling while remaining suitable for road use.
The model is finished with a priority on visual authenticity rather than construction processes. It recreates the aerodynamic fairings and internal winglet geometry. The high-performance liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine is modeled with visible detail; small elements such as bolts, the sprocket, and the chain are represented. The exhaust has separate weathering to convey usage. Transparent parts are molded from plastic chosen for clarity. Metal stickers and metal fork-top parts enhance realism, and wiring is represented using enameled wire. Tires are solid units with realistic tread texture. The product is supplied with a display racing stand and packaged in a windowed box suitable for in-box exhibition.
A finished-scale representation created for collectors and display-minded modellers who value accurate external detail and immediate shelf presence.
