The Tamiya 24049 kit recreates the Newman Porsche 956 that triumphed in the 1984 Le Mans 24 Hours, scaled to 1/24 for model builders. The build includes faithful representation of Joest Racing details and the car's 6-cylinder boxer engine with DOHC 4-valve turbocharging.

The distinctive New Man yellow, black and white livery is included, and the kit highlights the monocoque chassis plus the front and rear double wishbone suspension. Synthetic rubber tyres and decals for both No.7 and No.8 are part of the package for an authentic presentation model.
