Alcyone XT Coupe Design and Tech

The Subaru Alcyone, often referred to as the XT Coupe, is notable for its wedge-like styling and a range of advanced systems. The two-door coupe achieved a drag coefficient of 0.30 and featured retractable headlights, air suspension and the ACT-4 active torque-split 4WD. The top VR spec in Japan used a 135hp 1.7-liter boxer engine.

Build Features and Options

This Tamiya 1/24 scale kit recreates the XT Coupe shape and mechanical detail with careful moulding. The completed model measures 186mm and displays the suspension and drivetrain elements. Builders can select left- or right-hand drive instrument panels, and the pop-up headlights remain operable after assembly. The decal sheet provides digital instrument faces and two seat cover styles, and an optional spoiler is included to change the rear profile.
