The Toyota Celica GT-Four became synonymous with rally success and strong engineering. After its introduction in 1970, successive updates led to the sixth generation in 1993, a model that brought competition-proven systems to a road car platform.
Tamiya's model echoes the GT-Four's mechanical highlights. The real car used a 2-liter DOHC turbocharged engine producing 255 horsepower together with a full-time four wheel drive system. The package included super-strut suspension and ABS to manage traction and steering response.
The kit faithfully renders the Celica's aggressive styling, from headlamp shaping to the rear wing. Parts come moulded in black with clear components for windows and lights. Builders will welcome the detailed engine bay, realistic rubber tyres and interior parts for authentic presentation.
