Alfa Romeo entered four 155s during the 1993 German Touring vehicle Championship Series, including two from Alfa Corse team. Driven by former F1 motorists Nicola Larini and Alessandro Nannini, they instantly established by themselves as a championship contender and finally won the coveted name.
