The Skyline 2000 GT-R represents a defining chapter of Japanese racing history. Tamiya's 1/24 scale rendition brings the classic lines and race-bred character to the workbench for display-focused builders.
The GT-R lineage can be traced to the Prince R380 race programme, which used an in-line six cylinder DOHC engine. Following the Prince and Nissan merger, the Skyline GT-R adopted a detuned version of that engine and quickly established a winning reputation on circuits.
This static model emphasises accurate exterior and interior replication, including an engine bay with visible detail, chrome-look bumpers and rubber-like tyres that mimic the original appearance. Clear components and waterslide decals are included to finish an authentic display model.
