Detailed Tamiya 1/24 Alpine Renault A110 Monte-Carlo 1971 Presentation

This Tamiya 1/24 Alpine Renault A110 Monte-Carlo 1971 model is a faithful small-scale recreation of the classic rally winner from 1971. It reproduces the car's lean lines and rally-era components to give model builders an authentic project.

The A110's Engineering and Racing Legacy

Born from Jean Rédélé's work on the Renault 4CV, the Alpine A110 used an FRP body to reduce mass and improve handling. Combined with a rear-mounted 956cc inline four and tuned suspension, the A110 proved highly competitive on rally stages in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Construction Highlights and Display Potential

The kit captures exterior details, engine components and cockpit elements with moulded accuracy, and the included decals reflect the 1971 Monte Carlo livery. Measuring 161mm in length when finished, the model is compact yet rich in scale detail for cabinet display.

It is a static assembly kit meant for display; it does not include motor or running chassis components out of the box.
Use decal setting solution and apply on a gloss base coat; allow each coat to dry before sealing with a clear varnish to prevent silvering.
Essential tools include hobby knives, sprue cutters, fine files, tweezers, sanding sticks and plastic cement; a steady hand and magnification help with small parts.
