The Tamiya 1/24 Open Interface SC430 model recreates the car responsible for the 2006 Super GT title. This kit celebrates the Lexus SC430 platform that replaced the Supra and commemorates the efforts of drivers Juichi Wakisaka and Andre Lotterer, whose result at Fuji Speedway helped secure the championship.
The 2006 campaign underlined the SC430's competitiveness and team execution. Its race results reflected a well-engineered package, and this scale model allows builders to own a piece of that motorsport milestone.
This kit targets modellers who appreciate authentic finishes. It includes a pre-painted semi-gloss black die-cast underpanel for accurate weight and look. Metal transfers replicate chrome-like surfaces and manufacturer logos, and clear window parts with black masking stickers give a convincing tinted effect. The nylon mesh for the front air duct and realistic synthetic rubber tyres round out the detailed presentation.
To take detailing further, the optional SC430 Photo-Etched Parts Set is available separately and adds fine metal components for experienced builders.
