Description
Tamiya 24375 124 Sports Car Mazda Savanna RX-7
The Mazda RX-7 quickly became a hit with automotive fans when it was introduced in the mid-1970’s. The Mazda Savanna RX-7 made its debut in 1978, and the car featured sleek lines on its lightweight monocoque body with low-profile nose and retractable headlights. The two-rotor rotary engine was capable of 130hp, and the front midship layout gave the car optimal weight distribution, which was one of the secrets to its exemplary handling. In 1980, Mazda gave the RX-7 a minor model change, making the SE Limited model the most luxurious of the four types on offer. Creature comforts such as the sunroof and bucket type leather seats were joined by aluminum wheels, while reducing weight of the car by over 30 kilograms and refining its nose further improved fuel efficiency. This car spawned a legion of rotary engine fans and is an integral part of Mazda’s history.
The re-issue model assembly kit (originally sold in 1981: motorized at that time) is an updated kit with changed C Parts molding color (changed from black to brown), updated decals, instruction manual and packaging, plus newly-included masking stickers for the window painting process.
• 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 183mm, width: 76mm, height: 55mm.
• Features realistic depictions of chassis underside, suspension and interior.
• Sunroof and headlights are openable.
• Updated decals recreate logos and emblems.

• Includes one driver figure.
