The Tamiya 1/35 Russian Commanders and Staff Car kit recreates a captured Kubelwagen pressed into Russian use, offering a compact but characterful subject for military modelling. Four commander figures are supplied, each modelled to reflect commander attire and stance from the mid-war period.
Captured vehicles were a pragmatic resource on the eastern front, often repaired and redeployed with new registrations. This model pays tribute to that practice, showing how the Kubelwagen could be adapted for staff duties in Soviet service.
The completed Kubelwagen measures approximately 110mm in length at 1/35 scale. Figure sculpts display realistic poses and wear either the rubashka shirt or the 5-button field jacket. The figures were produced by ICM in Ukraine and the kit includes decals to mark vehicle numbers and shoulder insignia.
