Upgrade your Bismarck with scale-accurate fittings

The Tamiya 25181 is a specialised 1/350 scale detail-up set created to refine the appearance of the German battleship Bismarck model (Item 78013). Its photo-etched pieces bring crisp, small-scale detail that lifts the overall realism of the kit.

Developed alongside Pontos Model, the set includes two printed wooden deck sheets, 172 scribed brass parts and five sheets of photo-etched components. Resin parts and dry transfers are also supplied to round out a comprehensive detailing package.

These components let modellers reproduce the Bismarck's complex deck fittings and fine structural elements, making the Tamiya 25181 a practical upgrade for display-grade builds.

Are any tools needed to install the photo-etch?

Yes. A fine pair of cutters, bending tool or flat pliers, cyano glue and fine files are useful for trimming and shaping the brass pieces and fitting resin parts cleanly.

Is painting required on delivery?

Parts are supplied unpainted. After assembly, primer and scale-appropriate paints will be needed to match the finished look of the Bismarck kit.
